YetepAfter last year’s successful debut, EDC New York returns on May 17 and 18 to the Empire State, this time to Citi Field Ballpark in Flushing, New York.
As one of Insomniac’s “On the Road to Vegas” festival, EDC New York promises to bring a star-studded line-up of DJs including: Afrojack, Calvin Harris, Carl Cox, Dash Berlin, Thomas Gold, Porter Robinson, Eric Prydz and many more. Fans can expect five different stages in the two-day festival along with Insomniac’s signature carnival rides and art installations. The festival leads up to their flagship event, EDC Las Vegas, on June 21, 22 and 23 of this year.
Apart from featuring some of the industry’s top DJs, EDC New York is giving an aspiring DJ the opportunity to showcase his or her talent at the festival in their ongoing ‘Discovery Project’. Contestants will need to submit an original track and 30 minute mix for the judges. The winner will perform at the festival and will also get the opportunity to possibly become part of Insomniac’s upcoming DJ management and music marketing initiative.
Tickets are currently on sale. The festival is an 18 and over event. General admissions tickets are $215 plus additional fees and VIP tickets, for 21 and over fans, are $320 plus additional fees.
More artists will be announced as May approaches, so make sure to keep an eye out for Insomniac’s updates.
