Bakermat Blends Melodic Guitar and Soulful Jazz for His Eagerly Anticipated ‘Games’ EP

TUE, FEB 9, 2016

Working with South African multi-instrumental duo Goldfish, Bakermat has just dropped his incredibly heartfelt and remarkably uplifting EP Games. The new release features two tracks, “Games” and “Games Continued”, the second being a soulful rendition of the original.

“Games” takes on a soft guitar and a voice plucked straight from Paris, Marie Plassard. The track focuses in on the melodic guitar riff as we are enraptured by Plassard’s soft-spoken and, frankly, seductive voice which lends to the feel-good vibes of this calming house track.

On the other hand, “Games Continued” takes the original track to a whole other level. This version, featuring Goldfish, allows for their multi-faceted production to be immediately noticeable. When the track kicks into gear with its lively claps and groove-inducing sax riff, Bakermat proves to us that he has the flexibility to diversify, making for a collaboration that refuses to go unnoticed.
