YetepDim Mak’s “Greatest Hits 2015: Remixes” offers a selection of the best remixed tracks to come off the label from the past year. A collection of hits ranging from progressive and electro to trap and dancehall (and everything in between), the compilation features artists like Keys N Krates, SBCR aka The Bloody Beetroots, Chris Lorenzo, Nom De Strip, Yellow Claw, Autoerotique, Lil Jon and many more!
A diverse opus containing twenty-three high-profile remixes, Dim Mak’s Greatest Hits 2015: Remixes pays homage to the label’s distinct proclivity for putting fresh spins on proven originals. This year, international hits like Blasterjaxx’s “Forever” and Botnek’s “Tremors” received remix treatments to chart-topping effect, as did Torro Torro’s remix of Autoerotique and Max Styler’s “Badman,” which has surpassed 5 million plays on SoundCloud. Alongside seminal classics are several previously unreleased tracks, like the JiKay remix of Keys N Krates’ breakthrough banger “Dum Dee Dum” that’s racked up a staggering 62 million plays on YouTube. The collection also features standout reworks from Dim Mak’s brightest producers, including Retrohandz, Panic City, Max Styler and of course head honcho Steve Aoki.
Every remix on Dim Mak’s Greatest Hits 2015: Remixes pushes the boundaries of its original predecessor, presenting the track in a groundbreaking way. Whether it’s WRECKVGE flipping Garmiani’s “Zaza” into a booming trap beast or Habstrakt adding his signature bass house wubs to Dirtyphonics & UZ’s “Hustle Hard,” each remix embodies Dim Mak’s unmatched ability to transform and enhance it’s own music.
With their 20th anniversary on the horizon, Dim Mak is poised for a colossal 2016. The label’s biggest players are all slated for major releases early in the year and will set the tone for what is sure to be another stellar year for Steve Aoki’s preeminent dance music label.
