YetepOn the 5th and 6th of March CRSSD Festival once again took over The Waterfront in San Diego, California. I truly cannot express how much I love the location of this festival; being literally right next to the beautiful ocean with an incredible view and those super chill SoCal vibes is magical for a deep and tech house festival like this. The beautiful grassy venue with 3 stages sold out at 15,000 festival goers, completely surrounded by beautiful positive people, some of which dance freely in the water fountains getting down to the contagious house underground house music that keeps us wanting to “go dancing, I wanna go dancing with you all night dancing.”
As one of my favorite sets of the festival, the young recording artist Tiga hailing from Montreal, Canada played an extra fire set. With his third album just released earlier this March to support, Tiga most certainly did not disappoint. Having first fell in love with the track “Bugatti” on Tiga’s most recent album No Fantasy Required from a JAUZ remix, it was amazing hearing the original more vibey version played through CRSSD’s festivals deafening speakers. He truly wanted to make me fall in love with the music that day, and succeeded. His latest release, coincidentally is a pop track version he produced alongside Audien called “Make Me Fall In Love.” When asked to open up about this third album, he revealed:
“First of all, I never talk about the music itself. It’s borderline sacrilegious to talk about the grooves. They have a language all their own, the grooves do. I just birth them and send them out into the world to make others happy. And that’s what makes me happy, and that’s what makes you happy.” – Tiga
