There is a lot more behind the name and the mask than most people may perceive. Coming into the spotlight with his top-tier remix work, and being recognized for his impeccable sounds, Preston Chin, the man behind the moniker Robotaki has prepared himself to take on a much greater task–a task that entails enveloping the world with a powerful new take on electropop, funk, and disco. A responsibility to brighten peoples days and to make people dance. Us, along with what seems like the rest of the EDM community, started to really keep an eye on this one in 2013 when he put out a pop-funk remix of Van She’s “Idea Of Happiness.” Moving along his timeline of successful tracks, his remixes for Miguel, Empire of the Sun, and Kaskade all solidified his sound and caught the attention of some big players. Too Future and The Chainsmokers carved out space on their platform and put out mixes that together accumulated over half a million plays and counting. For being an up and comer in today’s highly saturated electronic music market, these successes will keep his rise to the top ever-advancing.
