RB Weekend Preview: Skream As Loud As You Can At The VIVA PHX Afterparty

TUE, MAR 8, 2016

This weekend I want you all to scream as loud as you can for UK Dubstep pioneer turned tech house specialist, Skream, as he takes over the decks at Monarch Theatre for the VIVA Phoenix Official Afterparty! Coming off of his raw performance at CRSSD San Diego this last weekend and immediately proceeded by multiple performances during Miami Music Week, Skream is ready to show us all what he has been working on for the past several months.

Over the past several days, Skream has released a number of new tracks via Soundcloud, and has also dropped his March mix in celebration of his USA/MARCH/2016 Tour. New tracks include “This Love”, which according to his soundcloud page, he “made this last summer, [it’s] been doing some damage and [he’s] been getting asked quite a bit what it is so I thought I’d share.” The other track, “Face Down In The Water”, holds similar stature in Skream’s catalog as it first existed as an ID which received much attention in his sets, so he decided to share a bit early! Check out “This Love” below!

As a precursor to his show this Saturday night, be sure to check out Skream’s March mix as well. Included in this gnarly 1 hour and 11 minute mix are, as Skream says, “some tunes I’m feeling at the minute.” However, he wants to make sure that you are not “look[ing] at this as a ‘serious’ mix,” rather just a sampling of the current state of Skream. Skream’s March mix is the first public mix since leaving Radio 1.

If all of this is not enough, check out our RB Deep in the Mix with Skream’s set from Elrow Ibiza! Don’t miss out on the VIVA PHX Afterparty with Skream, where I am hoping you all leave with a little less voice than you came with. We will see you at the Monarch!!
