English translation: In true Mexican fashion, we thought we would do something a bit different this week by giving the Relentless Beat of the Week, “Bailar,” from Deorro and legendary merengue star Elvis Crespo, a proper Spanish introduction. On the brink of margarita season, Cinco de Mayo, and a show just north of the border (Life in Color: Kingdom), what an opportune moment to share this track! Stepping into the world of Latin music is nothing new for Deorro, having created previous tracks with Spanish vocals and traditional Mexican rhythm, however this time he delivers a fiery sampling of Latin flavor chopped up and served with salsa beats, lively horn riffs, and flamboyant vocals from Crespo.
Ranking as one of Spotify’s top 140 streamed artists in the world, Deorro has quickly made a name for himself since 2014 after dropping tracks like “Yee” and “Dechorro.” Now having collaborated with artists like Chris Brown, Far East Movement, MAKJ, and now Elvis Crespo, Deorro has successfully integrated himself into nearly all walks of music. From here, continually pushing his Panda Funk brand to its limits, Deorro doesn’t seem to have any sort of endgame in sight.
Don’t miss Panda Funk cohort, Dirty Audio at Dirty Disco on May 21st!
