Love Takes A Dark Turn In Claude VonStroke’s Video For “Rain Break”

Claude VonStroke returns with his first release of the year, the Rain Break EP. The first single off the EP, also named “Rain Break”, demonstrates a darker tone than Claude VonStroke’s previously released tracks, like “Barrump” and “Make A Cake”. While the Dirtybird boss mentioned on his radio show, The Birdhouse, that the inspiration for the track came from humming the bass line of Raze’s “Break For Love” with the vocals from Oran Juice Jones’ “The Rain”, the track itself actually features Claude VonStoke’s vocals as he covers the chorus from “The Rain”.

The video for the new single seems to follow a similar storyline to Oran Juice Jones’ video for “The Rain”, as they both follow a person who finds their significant other kissing someone else, but Claude VonStroke’s version takes a darker twist, showing that while revenge might be best served cold, sometimes a little more heat is necessary. It’s been days of teasing, but we finally have a video for the latest mashup/cover/masterpiece from Dirtybird’s big poppa, Claude VonStroke, so make sure to grab your fur coats and get down to this track at Phoenix Lights. Claude VonStroke’s EP, Rain Break, is available now.
