Artist Spotlight: GTA – Good Times Ahead

FRI, AUG 26, 2016

In an age where the realms of electronic music have become completely saturated, true musical integrity and originality are fast becoming the key indicators of success. GTA aka ‘Good Times Ahead’ have these characteristics in abundance, and at the mere age of just twenty-five and in the space of only a few prolific years, the Miami-born DJs/Producers have managed to build nothing short of a remarkable musical empire.

Dipping their feet in simply a plethora of different music styles and diversifying themselves as much as possible, GTA are masters of big room, trap, future bass, hip hop, and every other genre you could possible think of. Whether it’s their own original song, an innovative remix, or collaborations with some of the industry’s best artists, GTA have continued to receive support from both fans and the ‘who’s who’ in the music industry. Whether it be their 2013 Diplo assisted single “Boy Oh Boy”, Intoxicated” with Martin Solveig, “Movin Bass” which amassed over 11 million plays on Spotify, or “BBHMM” GTA never fails at making some of the top music today.

Fast-forward to now, GTA are serving up their 2016 full-length debut album aptly titled ‘Good Times Ahead’ on Warner Bros. Records. With a full album of all of the biggest names including Tinashe, Vince Staples, What So Not, Wax Motif, IAMSU, and Tunji Ige the album showcases their mastery at music and sound manipulation to make themselves one of the most forward-thinking artists today.

What's up everybody! My name is Eric Alexander, although feel free to call me The Kid Eric, which is my DJ name. I'm a recent college graduate who started with Relentless Beats back in October 2015. My dream is to be a headliner DJ, but if that doesn't happen, then what I'm doing right now is perfectly alright. As long as I got my music and good vibes. My favorite music is anything with a lot of bass in it. Bass house, dubstep, DnB, trap, and whatever else there is out there that I can put my hands on. I think it's easier to just call me a bass head really. That's pretty much there really is to me. After all, I'm just a kid doing what he loves. If you ever see me at a show don't be afraid to grab my attention and say what's up! I absolutely love meeting new people <3
