RB Weekend Preview: Mad Decent Block Party is Here!

It’s the start of our very own wonderful festival season here in Arizona, as the students have come back, the weather slowly falls from it’s 120+ degrees, and we have just about everything we need for a massive weekend filled with way too much fun! Mad Decent Block Party is definitely the highlight of the weekend, but we also have Ookay coming to our newest addition of venues at Cake Nightclub, as well as Manufactured Superstars at Talking Stick Resort!

7/15 – Ookay @ Cake Nightclub

Intense shows with incomprehensible energy, music with great supporters from big acts across the globe, as well as a likability and intimacy with fans and supporters around the world are what make everything “Ookay”. Ookay has spread his hard-style madness with us over the last few years, from his Ghost EP to his infamous single, ‘Thief” and even his fans are in for a wild ride with his recently released single, ‘Buck.’ It seems with every new release too we keep asking ourselves, “How much harder can Ookay really takes us?”, and every time our expectations are blown away with what the guy can produce. 7/16 & 7/17 – Mad Decent Block Party @ Rawhide

Mad Decent Block Party this year is going to be probably the best festival we have ever thrown, especially within the MDBP series. The event is two days this year, only having one other city, Brooklyn, match us on the weekend takeover. The father of the event is none other than Daddy himself, Diplo. Diplo and his label Mad Decent come together to bring a whole skew of artists and styles ranging from the filthy trap legend and producer RL Grime, to the freestyle and rap God, Lil Dicky. The Manufactured Superstars’ main goal and fundamental idea is to play fun and energetic music to enhance the vibe and energy of any atmosphere. The dancfloor is never empty nor stationary when they take over the decks. They are not afraid to play records chart topping hits to keep the dance floor moving. They have exceptional skills of incorporating all types of music so effortlessly into their live acts. They truly put on a high-energy performance, as they fly through more than 100 tracks in a two-hour set.
