Dirtybird Doorly Releases Video For “Neanderthal”

UK DJ and producer Doorly is a mastermind behind the decks. He caught the attention of house legend Pete Tong in 2008, he got his big break when Pete invited him to spin on BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix as part of the ‘In New DJs We Trust’. He spends his summer’s in Ibiza where he holds a residency at Ibiza Rocks. He moved to Los Angeles in 2013 and started hosting his own parties. His sound is a fusion of house, drum-n-bass, indie-electro, and hip-hop, and entirely unique to him.

“Neanderthal”, featuring Marshall Jefferson, was released on the Dirtybird BBQ Compilation in June, and this week it got the accompanying music video.

“Neanderthal” take’s it way, way back to the creation of house music. It’s about cavemen who created beats by grunting and pounding on logs done in a story-telling style over funky house beats. The video is an animated adaptation that brings “Neanderthal” to life in a fun way. Doorly is currently on tour with Booka Shade, and recently released an EP on Play it Say It.
