YetepElephante, also known as Tim Wu, is a Los Angeles-based DJ/producer known for his big-room progressive house anthems and remixes of artists ranging from Clean Bandit to Lorde. Elephante released his debut ‘I Am The Elephante’ EP back in September, and now shares a fabulous remix by B-SIDES of one of it’s tracks, “Catching On” featuring Nevve.
If you haven’t heard of B-SIDES, then you’re in for a treat. Also known as Brendan Long, B-SIDES is a newcomer to the scene with a refreshing future bass/trap sound. He’s crafted pristine remixes for tracks like Galantis‘s “No Money,” NGHTMRE & Slander‘s “Gud Vibrations,” and Dillon Francis‘ “Bruk Bruk (Need Your Lovin’).” He’s also whipped up several collaborations with Jayceeoh, and a few killer tracks of his own like “Killers on The Loose,” which happens to be one of my favorite songs out there.
B-SIDES most recent creation is his spin on Elephante’s “Catching On,” and it’s dreamy. While the original takes on a more laid-back approach, Brendan speeds up the tempo and incorporates plucky synth jabs against light yet edgy, house-inspired elements that create a cooler atmosphere. B-SIDES goes back and forth from more bass fueled productions to future bass, and this remix and this time he took the bubbly future route.
Stay tuned for what’s next from B-SIDES, and for a big announcement from Elephante’s camp regarding new tour dates!
