YetepKnown for her heavy, dark, weird, and psychedelic techno beats is young female dj and producer from Niagra Falls, Rezz. Her appreciation for the darker sider of electronic music stems from the artists she is inspired by including Gesaffelstein, Alesia, Oliver, and many others. She shared on her SoundCloud: “I make music that appeals to me and that i can (somehow, weirdly enough) relate deeply to. Regardless of lack of melody & perceivable musical structure, I find myself connected entirely to the weird sounds & rhythmic behavior of my tunes.”
Back in October she released her second EP on deadmau5‘s imprint, mau5trap, titled ‘Something Wrong Here.” The EP is home to creepy breakdowns and instrumental tracks including “Purple Gusher,” “Cryptic,” “Paranoid,” “Voice in the Wall,” and “Selector,” as well as a vocal track “Melancholy” which features songwriter and vocalist Laura Brehm, who was handpicked by REZZ to create a track as unique as her spooky techno productions.
The EP was surely a success, and now Rezz has announced that she will be making a stop on her ‘Something Wrong Here’ tour in Phoenix on March 4th. She will begin her tour in January in London, and wrap it up on March 10th in Ohio.
As 2016 comes to a close it’s time to start making plans for the new year, and Rezz’s show is the perfect event to mark on your calendars. See you there!
