Spin it Back Saturday with Deorro’s ‘Rock the Party’

Erick Orrosquieta, most commonly known as Deorro, is a man who knows a thing or two about throwing a party.

Deorro began his DJ career at the age of 14 playing local gigs and by the time he turned 17, he was already producing his own tracks. He got a big break in 2012 when DJ Chuckie asked him to remix his track “Make Some Noise.” Deorro’s remix landed in the top 50 on Beatport. He’s been riding the wave of success since. In 2014 he teamed up with Steve Aoki and Diplo for the single “Freak,” and later that year released his massive hit “Five Hours.” He’s gone on to play massive festivals like EDC, Coachella, Tomorrowland and more.

This week’s rendition of Spin it Back Saturday takes us to 2013 when Deorro released the single “Rock the Party.”

“Rock the Party” represents the ‘harder’ side of Deorro. While some of his tunes opt for more soothing and flowing melodies accompanied by lush vocals, he’s also been known to kick it up a notch. The energy on this track is at an all time high with incredible transitions and drops. Deorro continues to impress fans with his ability to produce music in all facets within EDM.
