Elohim Releases ‘Eclipse’

Singer, songwriter, and producer, Elohim, has been making a name for herself over the past year with her incredibly honest and unique music. The mysterious Elohim not only uses a voice modifier when speaking in shows and interviews, but she’ll also show only half of her face in photos and on stage. The singer told LiveNation in an interview that she does this so that her listeners aren’t distracted by superficial things but rather focused on art.

Over the past year, Elohim has released tracks with Whethan, Louis the Child and her own self-titled album. Her recently released song with Whethan, “Sleepy Eyes,” has gained 606K plays on Soundcloud in just the last few weeks. Her newest release, which debuted on August 21st was aptly titled “Eclipse” due to the solar phenomenon. “Eclipse” begins with a slow build that gradually grows to an explosive chorus and surprising drop. It’s a fun-loving, feel-good tune that makes me feel like I should be cruising down the California coast in a top down convertible. Well, a girl can dream.

Elohim has consistently stayed on top of her game and has truly moved her way up to one of my favorite artists. It’s easy to get caught up in the industry, but her lyrical honesty regarding tough topics such as mental illness and anxiety have made her stand out among the crowd. Elohim has been touring the country playing in huge festivals this year such as Snowglobe, Coachella and Lollapalooza.

She’s recently started off on a tour of the country with none other than the queen herself, Alison Wonderland. The two will be coming to The Pressroom on October 10th, so be sure to get your tickets here!
