YetepWe listen to music to elicit a feeling, and most the time that feeling is happiness, joy, and the escapement of reality. SAINT WKND brings the feel-good and funk-trop to EDM and ever since we heard his track “Lover” with Chet Porter three years ago, we have kept a close eye on this rising star. In excitement for his Shady debut with Jerry Folk, we are showcasing SAINT WKND as this week’s DJ to Watch.
Hailing from Munich, Germany, SAINT WKND is bringing the alt-electronic to new heights and solidifying himself as someone who is “doing something different.” It’s not every day we see artists mixing deep and techno house with tropical tendencies, but Saint WKND, born Max Seethaler, is able to pull from competing genres, making music and forging a new genre-defying path. The diversity of his tracks lies with his remixes and features. He goes from Flume to Louis the Child to Two Door Cinema Club to Rae Sremmurd. We applaud his limitless views on music.
Currently, SAINT WKND is headlining his first North American Tour with his buddy, Jerry Folk. The ‘Foreign Affair’ excursion is bringing these two to Shady Park on March 3rd, grab your tickets here and escape on a house-infused trip with us.
