5 Songs to Get You Ready for RBDeep at Phoenix Lights

House heads–get excited, because there’s an entire selection of music being catered to you at Phoenix Lights. RBDeep is bringing a whole lineup dedicated to the deep and vibrant side of house music. We’ve got a ton of the Dirtybird Players coming to set the mood, house legends like MK and Christoph, and a very special performance from the one and only Green Velvet. Even if you’ve never listened to a house tune (you probably have!), there’s a type of house music for you at Phoenix Lights. Here are 5 house songs from the artists invading Phoenix Lights on April 7th and 8th that are sure to have you shuffling and bobbing your head.

Gerry Gonza – Shots to the Dome

After his recent performance at Crush 2018, Gerry Gonza has been a name on everyone’s watchlist. The Phoenix native specializes in all things house, and “Shots to the Dome” is no different. Teaming up with the legend himself, Destructo. The two work together so perfectly and create the perfect blend of bumping house synths and booty shaking rhythm. In a recent interview with RB, Gerry Gonza professed his love for playing in Arizona, “There is definitely so much heart here in Phx. One of my favorite things about playing here is you really can throw anything at them and they will groove and vibe to it’s the best, its why I love playing here so much.” We feel the same way Gerry, and we look forward to seeing what’s in store for us at Phoenix Lights.

Christoph — Last Dance

Gaining the backing from the one and only Eric Prydz, Christoph has solidified his place as a master of progressive house. Cristoph makes the kind of music that takes the mind on a journey and leaves the crowd in awe. The Newcastle based DJ has honored Arizona by joining the RBDeep section of the lineup this April. The track “Last Dance” is an adventure from start to finish. The 8-minute long track perfectly tells a story without having to say a single word. Definitely check out Christoph if you are looking for the perfect set to refresh and recharge too.

Justin Martin — Don’t Go

Justin Martin is one of Dirtybird’s most valuable artists. With a complex understanding of the craft, Justin Martin along with his brother Christian Martin were some of the founders of the infamous Dirtybird Record Label. The song “Don’t Go” is a pristine example of one of Martin’s groovy beats. The vivid bassline with simple lyrics makes for a catchy upbeat melody. Finding one of Justin Martin’s sets online is almost impossible, so this might be your only chance in 2018 to see what Justin Martin is truly capable of.

Eli & Fur — You’re So High

Eli & Fur broke out of the London club scene and began to take over airwaves ever since their debut in 2013. Their deep house sound is truly something special. The London duo combines mesmerizing vocals that they make themselves with heavy basslines to create their unique sound. Their music is the type of stuff you blast while on an adventure with friends. “You’re so High” is an excellent preview of what to expect when they take over the colony stage on April 8th. The duo was added to the Beatport “Artist to Watch” list in 2015 and has only been growing since.

Catz ‘n Dogz — Rave History

Even though it may appear that way from their name, Catz ‘n Dogz are anything but domesticated. The Polish duo has a progressive house sound that is unique to the Phoenix Lights Lineup. Their music is packed with experimental sounds and infectious basslines. Their single “Rave History” highlights just how creative the two can be. With over 10 years of experience under their belt, Catz n’ Dogz are showing no signs of slowing down.
