YetepWhen it comes to progressive house, nobody does it better than Cristoph, a Newcastle-based DJ and producer who is quickly making his way to the top of the underground scene.
Cristoph came from a family deeply involved in the art of DJing. Both his father and older brother worked in the industry, making it a clear path for Cristoph. He started by immersing himself in the club environment from an early age, and it wasn’t long before he was diligently studying the tools of the trade, drawing inspiration from legendary artists like John Digweed and Sasha.
In 2016, Cristoph joined Hot Since 82’s Knee Deep in Sound label and helped launch the imprint’s ‘8-track’ album series. The successful concept album thrust Cristoph into the international spotlight, with hot tracks like “Alone” and “Closer” taking over dancefloors around the world.
In 2017, Cristoph signed to both his idols’ labels: Digweed’s Bedrock and Sasha’s Last Night on Earth. With hot releases on both imprints, Cristoph has solidified his spot as one of the top artists within the progressive house genre.
It’s no surprise that Cristoph ultimately caught the eye of Eric Prydz, and became the first artist to sign on his label, Pryda Presents. Now with the guidance of Prydz and his team, it’s exciting to see what Cristoph will produce for us in the coming months. Wanna see more of Cristoph? Catch him on the RB Deep stage at Phoenix Lights this weekend. Tickets and other info here.
