Relentless Beat of the Week: Yellow Claw & San Holo – ‘Summertime’

In today’s world of EDM, producers are straying from the norm and exploring new, innovative ideas. Many do so by utilizing raw musical talent whenever they can. The Chainsmokers and Mija recently released full-length albums featuring their own vocals. Illenium plays the drums live during his sets, and Gramatik adds to his funky beats with live guitar. This week’s Relentless Beat of the Week is a collaboration from two talented artists showcasing their very own musical skills. Check out Yellow Claw and San Holo’s  “Summertime” below.

Yellow Claw & San Holo – “Summertime”

The single features vocals by Nils Rondhuis of Yellow Claw–his singing debut! His mellow, husky voice adds just the right amount of darkness to this track, ironic given the title. Complementing Nil’s vocals is San Holo on guitar, who now has a reputation for delivering mind-blowing live sets with the incorporation of his talent on guitar. “Summertime” showcases the best of both Yellow Claw and San Holo and each of their styles shines through.
