Spin it Back Saturday: Liquid Stranger – ‘Ripple’

Swedish-born Martin Stääf, better known as Liquid Stranger, is one of the most innovative and eclectic producers around in the electronic dance music industry. Known for blending a wide array of genres, including everything from reggae, to psychedelic, to dubstep, the artist doesn’t confine himself to one exclusive sound. He launched the Liquid Stranger Project back in 2003 as an alias that would encompass all his musical output. He has since released several albums and explored the many facets of electronic music. This week’s Spin it Back Saturday comes from his 2010 album, The Private Riot. Check out “Ripple” below.

“Ripple” stayed in the number 1 spot on Beatport’s top download charts for an extended period of time, giving fans a taste of Liquid Stranger’s darker, more bass-heavy side. Today, the artist stays true to his underground roots, while touring and working with other artists on his own label, Wakaan.
