Watch it Wednesday: Steve Aoki, Nicky Romero, & Kiiara – ‘Be Somebody’

Last month, the minds of Steve Aoki, Nicky Romero, and Kiiara came together to create “Be Somebody,” a pop song banger that has emotional vocals and an infectious bassline. The track became an instant hit and found its way onto airwaves, into live set, and in playlists all over the world. To follow up with the massive success of the track, Ultra Music just released a music video for the track and it is alluring, to say the least. The video is a mystery. It’s futuristic yet modern; dystopian but euphoric. The whole video is honestly a trip. From the futuristic wire dress that Kiiara wears to the glowing white tablets that Steve Aoki and Nicky Romero are plugged into. This video leaves will leave you asking so many questions.

Steve Aoki has had a busy year, he’s released countless singles and an EP with artists like Deorro, Lil Yachty, and Laidback Luke. In addition to recently closing out this year’s Goldrush, Aoki has also taken over weekend two of Tomorrowland, Ultra Miami, EDC Japan, and endless festivals all over the world. That’s a lot of cake. Nicky Romero and Kiiara are also keeping themselves busy with a handful of releases of their own. Nicky Romero and Steve Aoki stated that this track took over a year to make, and that hard work is clear to see in “Be Somebody.”
