YetepThe Wavedash trio is redefining the club scene without even being old enough to get in. Gavin Bendt (17), Luke Shippey (18), and Michael Stone (18), made their debut in 2016 on OWSLA’s Winter Compilation. The Houston based trio specializes in seismic bass music that is way ahead of their time. Their style is similar to that of Skrillex, Zomboy, and Porter Robinson. Wavedash is this week’s DJ to Watch.
The trio made their debut at the inaugural Middlelands in 2017 and have since played massive festivals throughout the country like EDC Las Vegas and Nocturnal Wonderland. They have also been direct support for Excision, Slander, and Krewella on their tours. In 2019, the Wavedash boys are playing even more insane festivals like Lollapalooza and Electric Forest. For a bunch of guys that have barely graduated high school, they have already made huge strides towards a successful career in the music industry.
Wavedash is stopping by the Van Buren alongside Slander for the Headbangers Ball on May 4th. You’re not going to want to miss what these guys bring to the table. Grab tickets here. They are also playing the inaugural Parade of Bass festival in Albuquerque, New Mexico on May 3rd. Grab tickets here.
