Same Same But Different Brings Back Nakey Island: A Boat-Access-Only Festival Within the Festival
Same Same But Different is bringing back one of its most beloved experiences for 2026. Nakey Island, a private, boat-access-only escape located across the water from the main festival grounds at Lake Perris, returns with exclusive sets, wellness programming, and the unexpected moments that have become quite the charm of the festival.
Access is available through the Nakey Island Passport, which includes unlimited ferry rides throughout the weekend. The journey itself has become part of the ritual. Banana boat rides, first sightings of the island’s silhouette, and the unmistakable feeling of leaving the main grounds behind set the tone before arrival.

The island runs its own stage with its own rules. Every artist who plays Nakey Island plays only the island, meaning these sets won’t be repeated anywhere else at SSBD. The lineup includes AB3D, Amadeezy, AndreasOne, Boo, Cocoa Crescendo, Kyro, One Lovell, and more, with additional names still to be announced. Expect a soundtrack built for barefoot afternoons and unplanned sunrise moments.

Beyond the music, Nakey Island offers experiences meant to be stumbled upon. This year’s programming includes sound healing, breathwork, guided movement, survival workshops, massage and chiropractic care, a Saturday morning run club, kayak races, daily treasure hunts, and the beloved Coconut Confessionals. Add in hidden beaches, cabanas, hiking trails, and the signature “Top of the Island” photo moment, and the island becomes a full second festival hiding across the water.

SSBD continues to build its identity around immersive environments, community-driven programming, and unexpected experiences that extend beyond the stage. Nakey Island embodies that philosophy, offering a world within a world.
