YetepWhether you’re a veteran festival goer or brand new to the scene, I’m sure you’ve had a chance to hear “High You Are” by What So Not. The track dropped all the way back in 2014 and became THE What So Not song. It’s playful and light, resulting in one of the catchiest songs in the entire electronic industry. On “High You Are” What So Not and Branchez throw down an absolutely gorgeous melody, overflowing with uplifting synths, euphoric bass, and finely-tuned instruments. The icing on the cake for this track is the vocals, that deliver a simple yet captivating message. “High You Are” is this week’s Spin it Back Saturday.
What So Not has been taking the music industry by storm ever since his debut in 2010. The What So Not project used to be a duo with Flume, but has since become a solo project. What So Not has played at impressive festivals like Coachella, Ultra Miami, and Lollapalooza. Last year, What So Not surprised fans when he dropped a powerful 13-track full-length album.
You can see What So Not alongside Benny Bennasi and RL Grime at Wet Electric on April 27th at Big Surf Waterpark. Grab tickets here.
