Two Door Cinema Club Releases ‘Once’ Edit

Missing summer already? Irish Indie rock band Two Door Cinema Club just released a new edit that is perfect for reminiscing on old times and relishing in the good memories made so far. The nostalgic vibes that surround this song perfectly accompany the story told in the lyrics, of growing up and figuring out who you are. The song, “Once,” seems to have strong themes of what we often take for granted in life, giving up our ‘once in a lifetimes’ the moment we seem to find them. Though the song does indeed have some deep themes and thought-provoking messages, the group manages to keep the tempo optimistic and the vocals, while slightly glum in parts, maintains the band’s chill vibes and dream-like flow. Listening to this song feels like floating down a river of thoughts while watching the clouds go by.

The song is a single track edit of the original that was released earlier this summer as part of the band’s fourth studio album, False Alarm. Excitingly, False Alarm has already received widespread support and praise, and because of this, the trio will be touring Europe next year. Though this group is an indie rock band, they have worked alongside electronic artists before as well, notably when young and talented DJ Madeon produced their track “Changing of the Seasons” in 2013. A beautiful blend of acoustic and electronic, the single was even called “the hottest record in the world” by BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe.

Want to catch Two Door Cinema Club live? They’ll be playing at Dusk 2019 at Armory Park in Tucson this November, alongside some of the hottest names in EDM such as Rezz and Kaskade! You don’t want to miss out on this killer lineup. See full details and more of the lineup so far here!
