YetepSamuel Walker and Gavin Royce, who together form Walker & Royce, have been flattening the game and every stage they grace with their funky tech house sound. Anything goes when they’re up there spinning on the decks, and the same can be said for their radio show Rules Don’t Apply. RDA Radio is an hour of long sweet and silly house and techno music curated by Walker & Royce themselves. For this month’s episode, Gavin introduces the show by saying, “I’m solo again on the show. Sam is just, ya know, up to his ears in dirty diapers still.” Even with 50% of W&R, the energy of the show is still at max 100. Listen to episode 008 below for this week’s Radio Recap.
This month’s tightly-packed episode features music from Born Dirty, Shiba San (with whom Walker & Royce are on tour with), Catz ‘n Dogz, Claude VonStroke, and more, including new music from Walker & Royce’s latest EP Rave Grave. The overall energy of this radio episode will have you groovin’ and boppin’ and feeling yourself in a weird dancing mood. For a bit of the show, Gavin and special Dirtybird boss guest Claude VonStroke chat about things like the 6th Dirtybird Campout and VonStroke’s new EP. In addition to VonStroke’s Campout and Walker & Royce touring with Shiba San, they’ll also all be together for Dirtybird Players – Arizona on November 2nd. Get your tickets here.
