YetepGritty, future-sonic, and progressive basslines ooze with ease from the sound-innovating mind of San Francisco-based Ardalan. His music possesses a savory blend of growling elements and snappy samples that equate to a sassy and sour dynamic sound. His depth and range have eased him alongside Claude VonStroke and Justin Jay on their respective labels Dirtybird and Fantastic Voyage, the former on which he recently released an 11-track LP Mr. Good. Listen below.
Ardalan’s Mr. Good LP presents an emotional perspective into his heart and mind as he journeys through his sound development and into an accomplished taste and style. The tale he presents unfolds across eleven tracks documenting Ardalan’s genesis deep-dive and desire for perfection. His work is void of generic basslines or sample packs and is instead plump with modern mixdowns and clever production tricks. Dirtybird calls the album “weird yet danceable, classic yet futuristic.” Ardalan will continue to pioneer and push boundaries through his creative concepts.
Get weird with Ardalan as we draw this year to a close at Decadence Arizona. Find tickets here.
