SMOG label founder and dubstep ambassador 12th Planet has trudged ahead to deliver his head-whipping, neck-snapping sound ever since the beginning, which was jump-started from collaborations with Skrillex and Kill the Noise. Since then 12th Planet has become a household name in dubstep, with official releases on Interscope, Mad Decent, Monstercat, and OWSLA and stops at major festivals like Coachella, Lollapalooza, EDC, HARD, and Ultra. His founding-father title doesn’t translate as an antique sound; instead, 12th Planet continues to remain one of the most relevant figures in the industry, even launching a riddim label, Discipline Records. 12th Planet still drops heat, but we must not forget about his old embers still burning bright – let’s Spin it Back to one of his bangers, “Corner Pocket.”

“Corner Pocket” snaps and whips like a flag in the storm, and hardly touches down for any wet bass until the drop, which is saturated in smoggy rhythm and grimy distortions.
