YetepWith her unique combination of analog soundscapes and Riot Grrrl-style vocals, Miami-born Nala is a producer crawling onto everyone’s radar as of late. The producer got her start playing underground nightclubs, giving the local scene a taste of her prowess on the decks and energetic performances. She was ultimately named “one of Miami’s top female DJs and certainly an act making some serious strides on the circuit” by EARMILK.
Her sound caught the attention of DJ/producer/record label owner Claude VonStroke who took her under his Dirtybird wing to help carve out her career path. She is now a mainstay in the Dirtybird fam, having worked with Claude, Ardalan, and Steve Darko, and released hit tracks like “Everything is Burning” and “Habits Die Hard.”
Nala currently resides in Los Angeles when she’s not jetsetting around the globe playing gigs like Electric Forest, Sonic Bloom, Shambhala, Coachella, and Day Trip. She also recently launched her very own, female-dominated record label, Mi Domina Records. The label’s latest project was a three-track collaborative EP between Nala and E.R.N.E.S.T.O, Get Familiar.
You can catch Nala live at Darkstar on Friday, July 29th. Grab tickets here!
