Relentless Beats

Artist Spotlight: Lubelski

Los Angeles native Jake Lubell, aka Lubelski, is a DJ, producer, and multi-instrumentalist who has successfully cultivated his own unmistakable sound within the west coast house scene. With a decade of self-taught musical exploration, Lubelski has developed a knack for percussive, eclectic beats, repeatedly earning the attention of some of the world’s most famed selectors and curators.

2020 was a breakout year for the producer, after the release of his debut album, Universal Groove, on his own Percomaniacs imprint. This led to a string of chart topping EPs on key European imprints, including Elrow, Mele’s Club Bad, Audiojack’s Gruuv, and Stefano Nofereni’s Deeperfect. He closed out the year stateside with favorites like The Rave Scene EP via Desert Hearts and “Lost My Senses” via Dirtybird.

Keeping the momentum going in 2021, Lubelski tapped artists like Ardalan, Melé, Doc Martin, Cut Snake, MADVILLA, m.O.N.R.O.E and more to remix his Universal Groove LP, and ultimately releasing his second full-length album, Happy Accidents on Dirtybird, home to fan favorites like “Ice Cream Cone.”

Today, Lubelski continues to impress, garnering the support of renowned curators like Damian Lazarus, Doc Martin, Jamie Jones, Claude VonStroke, De La Swing, and more, and earning key billings with leading promoters like Desert Hearts Festival, CRSSD, Decibel Festival, Elrow NYC, DoLab, and Elements. Keep Lubelski on your radar in the coming years, as this producer will continue to rise to the top.

Lubelski will be at Darkstar next January 14th. Grab tickets here!
