Martin Ikin and Joshwa Release Long-Awaited Collab ‘Take Me’

After a year of teasing the ID in their sets, British producers/DJs Martin Ikin and Joshwa have released their electrifying tech house collaboration, “Take Me.” Released via Ultra Records, “Take Me” sees the producers team up to sample the legendary Toni Braxton’s 1996 hit, “You’re Makin’ Me High.” Ikin and Joshwa inject Braxton’s tender vocals with a shot of adrenaline, transforming her iconic lyricism from wistful yearning to burning desire. With its booming bassline, high-tension drum build-ups, and glowing vocal delivery, “Take Me” is a certified club banger.

Fully-trained studio engineer and jazz pianist Martin Ikin has dedicated his life to music, making and releasing records under various aliases since 1991. Throughout the decades, Ikin has reached a broad crowd by crafting a diverse sound, landing him anywhere from groovy and soulful to club-ready tech house.

Joshwa has reigned as Beatport’s top-selling tech house artist for the last 12 months. While the UK producer has been on the rise since his 2018 tech house remix of Fat Boy Slim’s “Praise You,” the massive success of his 2021 hit single “My Humps” put him on the global radar, making him one of today’s most sought-out producers.

Martin Ikin will be returning to Tempe with special guest Mau P at Sunbar on February 19th, 2023. Click here for tickets.
