Zeds Dead & GRiZ Release Highly Anticipated Collab, ‘Ecstasy of Soul’

Out today is the highly anticipated collaboration between Zeds Dead and GRiZ, “Ecstasy of Soul” via Deadbeats. The track debuted at Arizona’s own Goldrush last September during their iconic, first-ever Zeds Dead b2b GRiZ set. It’s since become the most fan-requested song both artists have in 2022. Starting with a cover of the theme song for the spaghetti western classic, The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, “Ecstasy of Soul” evolves into a monster dubstep festival anthem. Check it out below!

Here’s what Zeds Dead had to say about the collaboration:

“We were doing a big back to back set in Arizona and wanted to create something super epic for the intro. We tossed around a few ideas and finally decided to try something with a version of the Good The Bad and the Ugly theme. Something about the Wild West and the new frontier seemed to be calling our name. Griz is the best and this was a lot of fun to work on, it brought us back to our old remixing days. We’ve been playing it at every show since and it’s gotten the most insane reactions. Stoked to finally put it out!”

“Ecstasy of Soul” marks the fifth official release from Zeds Dead this year. Previous singles have offered fans more in the direction of their new sub-label, Altered States, which navigates house, downtempo, and dubstep adjacent genres. You can catch Zeds Dead at this year’s Decadence Arizona on December 31st, as well as an official Altered States After Party – something you won’t want to miss.
