Explore CRi’s Artistry With ‘Astray’

Hailing from Canada, CRi has carved a distinct path through the Montreal electronic scene. His artistry weaves together house synths, syncopated snares, and futuristic basslines into a vibrant musical journey, and lucky for us, he’s showcased this creative brilliance in his most recent release, “Astray,” a collaborative track with Half Moon Run. Listen below!

A self-taught musician, CRi’s rise through Montreal’s bubbling scene culminated in his debut album Juvenile, a captivating collection that defies predictable electronic genres. CRi’s journey took a notable turn in 2018 with a Juno nomination for his EP Someone Else. This recognition was swiftly followed by his mini EP Me and My Friends and a collaboration with Charlotte Cardin, “Fous n’importe où,” which revisits Daniel Bélanger’s timeless classic. Having debuted on Anjunadeep in 2019, his track “Initial” caught the ears of BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong and Annie Mac, propelling his music onto the global stage.

CRi’s sound is a fusion of multilingual dreamy vocals and upbeat melodies. His stage presence has won hearts across Montréal and beyond. He’s not just an artist; he’s an experience. CRi, an abbreviation of the name Christophe, is also the French word for “shout” or “scream.” Quite the mismatched moniker when you consider the subtlety of his compositions and his reluctance to take the spotlight in music videos!

As you get lost in the ethereal sounds of “Astray,” we’re excited to announce that CRi, alongside supporting act Nicky Elisabeth, will be gracing the stage at Darkstar in Tempe on December 15th. This means you have ample time to explore CRi’s discography and fully immerse yourself in his artistry before experiencing it live!

Secure your tickets HERE, and rest assured, we’ll keep you in the loop as December approaches to ensure you don’t miss your chance to see CRi in action.
