“Rumble” Wins GRAMMY: A New Era for Dance Music

At the 2024 GRAMMY Awards, Skrillex, Fred again.., and Flowdan won Best Dance/Electronic Recording for their song “Rumble.” This was the first GRAMMY win for British artists Fred again.. and Flowdan, well deserved after a year of changing the game in EDM. Fred again.. also took home another award for Best Dance/Electronic Music Album with Actual Life 3. For Skrillex, this win adds to his collection, making it nine GRAMMY awards in total.

In his thank-you speech, Skrillex talked about how important it is to attract success rather than chase after it. He pointed out how crucial it is to listen to different perspectives and to be understanding, especially when the world seems so split. He gave a shout-out to Flowdan and Fred again.., complimenting their passion for making music they love and their desire to move the music world forward, instead of just trying to make hit songs.
