YetepAfrojack is closing out a massive year by going back to his melodic core. Following his historic 2025, which included reuniting the legendary “Titanium” on stage and blockbuster collabs, the Grammy-winning producer joins forces once more with rising talent Amél for their new single, “Rivers.”
This collaboration stands apart. While Afrojack’s year was defined by spectacle, “Rivers” showcases a powerful creative partnership. The track is a fusion of melodic house energy and cinematic scale with warm, pulsing synths that build into an uplifting drop.
“This is the most excited I’ve been for a release in a long time! I’ve been working with Afrojack for almost 3 years now, and this is the first time I’ve released a song with him, just us together. I remember hearing the vocal for the first time and being instantly hooked. While working on this track with Afrojack, he gave me a lot of creative freedom to experiment with melodies, and even add in some of my own flavors, recording guitars and other real instruments. I think the track blends our sounds together really well. It carries beautiful flowing melodies, while also still bringing the full main-stage dance energy — that’s my favorite type of sound.”
– Amél
The track also serves as a personal milestone. For Amél, it marks the first release with Afrojack as a duo, the result of nearly three years of collaboration that allowed for creative freedom, including live guitar recordings. For Afrojack, it’s a return to the melodic-driven sound that first defined his career, ending on a year of unprecedented highs. After conquering stages from Coachella to Tomorrowland, “Rivers” shows that even at the peak of festival fame, a great melody still carries a powerful current.
