Cowboy Boots & Cats: it’s murph
Goldrush 2025 was a truly epic event. The lineup and vendors were top-notch. Goldrush 2025 was also the first time that I attended a Rawhide festival that opened the replica Wild West Town. There were house stages hidden inside the replica buildings, creating a wild mix of era and genre. This inspired me to become a HouseHead and look at the genre more closely. Producer/DJ it’s murph was one of my first discoveries in my house music deep dive. His discography is full of euphoric tracks and groovy rhythms. A true genre standout. Its murph is making a grand return to Phoenix for the 2026 edition of Goldrush: Midnight Riders. He is performing on Day 2 alongside Martin Garrix and Delta Heavy. The set will take place at the Golden Gorge stage. Goldrush is 18+. The festival is being held at Rawhide Event Center in Chandler, Arizona. “Chemicals” is featured on its murph’s 2025 album Weightless. Nat Slater is featured on vocals and does an amazing job. Her soothing voice adds a layer of beauty and yearning to its murph’s production. The lyrics also reflect this sense of yearning.
“Breathe it in, take a second to the sunlight . Let me in, can we dive right off the precipice? Gravity, can you feel it not taking control? Sanity.. Is this love or is it chemical?”
The production on “Chemicals” features soft strings, tapping drums, and soaring heights. This is a beautiful example of modern house music. The drops are smooth and subtle. The vocals and beat complement each other well. One does not overshadow the other. Its final drop ends the song on a high note. Ramping up before gracefully fading out.
“Chemicals” is the PERFECT track to prepare you for its murph’s unbeatable vibes. I also recommend “Food For The Soul” and “High And I Like It” as an additional study guide.
