Tisoki Proves Bass Music Doesn’t Need to Pick a Lane Anymore

TUE, OCT 13, 2026

Tisoki has never fit neatly into one box. The UK-born, Los Angeles-based producer has spent his career moving between dubstep, trap, drum and bass, bass house, and UK garage, treating genre as a tool rather than a rulebook. That fluidity has become his thing, and it points to something bigger happening across bass music right now.

His own words say it best. When he released the trap-heavy single “CONTROL,” he explained that he had spent years feeling caught between worlds, too dubstep for the trap labels and too trap for the dubstep labels. Rather than forcing himself into one lane, he leaned somewhere in the gray area.

That approach has a benefit for DJs and crowds. Opening with something garage-leaning or trap-influenced can refresh a listener’s ears before dropping into the heaviest dubstep in the set. It makes the heavy moments hit harder because they arrive as a contrast, not a constant expectation.

This isn’t a new idea. Zeds Dead built Deadbeats around the same philosophy, bringing on artists who blur the lines between genres and prioritizing groove over those with a more strict path. The label’s approach is simple, if it works in a room, it works.

Tisoki embodies that instinct. He moves through styles because the music demands it, not because he’s chasing trends. And for anyone building a set, that versatility is a useful new technique in modern dubstep.
