Artist Spotlight: Wraz.

FRI, NOV 6, 2026

I was exploring Distinct Motive’s discography last week and made an EPIC discovery in my Apple Music recommendations: Wraz. a Canadian producer and DJ who specializes in dark, menacing tracks that slither like a mamba. He is a mainstay in the catalogue of the Deep, Dark & Dangerous label and collaborates with numerous artists. Wraz. has quickly become one of my favorite 2026 discoveries.

My introduction to Wraz. was the track “Alienist” off of the Desert Tales EP. The song builds anticipation with rainstorm sound effects, sparse drums, and grumbling basslines. The song slowly uncurls like a snake waking up from its slumber. The heavy bass and sharp wobbles gradually progress, getting heavier by the minute. Laser effects fire off in the background over shifting drum beats. Revving bass separates track section with subtle, guitar-like riffs. There are so many little details to be found, making it worthy of repeat listens. Crashing down to earth in a fiery fury.

The next (and my favorite) bop is “Dosed,” a collaboration between Wraz. and Mikrodot. The dark and surreal cover art is a perfect match to the song’s energy, making the track more effective. “Dosed” features a cinematic build up with strings and choppy wubs. Intergalactic transmissions can be heard in the background before the wobbles take over. The vibe switches around the 1:25 mark, bringing in wobbles of a whole new frequency. Trap-inspired instrumentals add variety to the song and help to split up track sections. The rolling wubs dizzy the listener with multiple layers. “Dosed” ends with a horror-inspired outro.

Wraz. is a producer who has captured my attention, and one you should keep an eye on. He has multiple LPs, EPs, Singles, and collaborations for you to explore. I have only begun to scratch the surface of his discography and cannot wait for more music. Check out Wraz. ASAP.
