Corey Baker has a new EP coming out. Oh, sorry… most know him as Kill Paris. I love that name, by the way. I spend a lot of time in Paris, France and I am sure there is some connection there. But Kill Paris has a new EP coming out titled To A New Earth. The new release is dropping on February 26 on Skrillex‘s label OWSLA.
What makes this album fun are the remixes. The first three tracks introduce you to the nu-disco sound that Kill Paris is known for, but then remixes start featuring names like Griz, K Theory, Robert DeLong, Gramatik, and Candyland. [ed. Speaking of Candyland, Relentless Beats presents UK Thursdays featuring Candyland at the Monarch Theatre in Downtown Phoenix on Thursday, March 7, 2013.] Experience bass to the fullest with this dynamic duo this March. The entire To A New Earth tracklist is below:
1. Slap Me
2. To A New Earth
3. Catch You
4. Slap Me (Griz Remix)
5. Slap Me (K Theory Remix)
6. Slap Me (Candyland Remix)
7. Catch You (Robert DeLong Remix)
8. Catch You (K Theory Remix)
9. To A New Earth (Gramatik Remix)
My favorite track on the album is “Slap Me”, but I am having a hard time picking my favorite remix. I have been a big fan of K Theory, but the Candyland remix is incredible.
Kill Paris is wrapping up a tour with Big Gigantic and has shared the stage with Pretty Lights, Mimosa, Mac Miller, Nicky Romero, and Infected Mushroom along the way. Kill Paris is an up and comer, and is prepared to make some serious noise with this new release. Check out the GRiZ remix of Slap Me below.
Good luck picking a favorite remix!
