DJ To Watch: Rain Man – When It Rains It Pours

Someone whose music you definitely have heard and loved but may not know much about is the DJ to Watch, Kris Trindl, better known as Rain Man. Trindl has been busy after breaking off from Krewella, which was originally his brainchild, starting his own solo project as Rain Man. Trindl’s goodbye to Krewella was bittersweet as Trindel entered himself into rehab, neglecting even to drink alcohol. Kris Trindl was the main producer of Krewella’s music; you know that entire “Get Wet” album that you love by them featuring “Alive”, “Live For The Night”, and several others that we all secretly know every word to? Well that was essentially his masterpiece, and the girls supplied the vocals for the tracks, as well as the 2-sisters image that Krewella took on.

When It Rains It Pours – Episode I

The official story isn’t completely confirmed, but what is known is that essentially Jahan and Yasemin ended up edging Chris out for reasons up to speculation, and he took his talents elsewhere to develop his own solo project as Rain Man.

Since then, he’s released a collection of original tracks that you’ve definitely heard by now. “Bring Back The Summer” and “Dope” have both been played out, remixed, and supported by his fellow DJ colleagues, and most recently Rain Man has found success starting his own mix series out strong with a straight fire, When It Rains It Pours – Episode I. The entire mix is a fantastic blend of all bass-heavy genres in electronic dance music: bass house, dubstep, trap, future house, and even a little rap – basically a basshead’s dream. He expertly bounces back and forth between these genres, adding that extra hard wub wub wub sound at just the perfect time by mixing in dubstep by Skrillex, EPTIC, Doctor P, and friends. On top of this, he even drops “Fireman” by Lil Wayne, followed by a sample saying “Rain Main” – so lit.
