Relentless Beats

Insomniac’s Two Heavy Hitting Divisions Unite for Project Z

If you are a fan of heavy hitting music, then you are in for a special treat this July. On the 16th of that month, Insomniac‘s heavy hitting brands, Bassrush and Basscon, will unite for one bass-filled night in San Bernadino, CA. Project Z will feature an absolutely out of this world lineup from both of these brands and the musical genres they represent. Basscon will be bringing an all-star lineup featuring some of the Hard Dance scene’s top artists, while Bassrush will be coming in hot with all of your favorite Bass Music superstars.

On the Basscon side, you will get to experience the many different flavors that Hard Dance has to offer. Darren Styles B2B Gammer sit atop the lineup and will be delivering a combination of their signature UK Hardcore sounds. Frontliner is up next and will be ready to unleash some devastating Hardstyle sounds on the crowd. One of the artists that I am stoked for is Junkie Kid. He will be delivering his own unique sound he has termed “Neo-Hard House,” which is a combination of Hardstyle, House, and dark melodies. Mekanikal, Ruthless, TNT, and Zany will all be reppin’ the Hardstyle sound on the Basscon stage as well. The “can’t-miss” set of the night, for the Basscon stage, will be Tuneboy‘s classics set. He will be performing some of the tunes and sounds that are responsible for Hardstyle becoming the genre we all know today.

On the Bassrush side, things will be just as devastating. The top billed set of Doctor P B2B Cookie Monsta B2B Funtcase will be ready to destroy NOS Events Center with an all-star Dubstep set. Each of these artists is great in their own right, and I am excited to see what they will bring when they all jump behind the decks together. Lookas is up next and will be an exciting act to see. He was named one of the top 10 acts to watch this year by Rolling Stone Magazine because of his slew of Trap releases and exciting performances. LUMBERJVCK and Midnight Tyrannosaurus will be teaming up for a back2back set of heavy-hitting Dubstep and bass-filled Trap. Party Thieves will be playing their own unique Hip-Hop infused Bass music. This set will be one of the ones you won’t want to miss, as it will contain music from their newly-released “Undrafted” album that just came out on Flosstradamus‘s record label, Hi-Def Youth. Zeke Beats will be finishing out the Dubstep sounds of the night. For you Drum & Bass fans out there, don’t worry. This show has something for you as well. One of the largest names in Drum & Bass, Noisia, will be stepping up to crush Project Z, followed up by the “can’t-miss” set of the night, for the Bassrush side, will be Terror Snake & Downie Wolk, AKA The Upbeats. These two Perth natives are known for both their incredible Drum & Bass productions, as well as their on-stage antics (routine mosh pits, crowdsurfing, topless dancers, acrobatics, and more).

So whether you are a fan of Hard Dance, Bass Music, or just getting your face melted by heavy music, this will be an event that you won’t want to miss. This truly will be “the largest BASS event in North America.”

Tickets can be found here.

See you all there.
