The Relentless Record Collection: Getter’s ‘Radical Dude!’

For this week’s instalment of the Relentless Record Collection we bring you Getter’s Radical Dude! EP, originally released March 9th, 2016, via OWSLA Records. Radical Dude! features fellow producers Ghastly and Adair, as well as lyricist Oliver Tree, Sneek, and Georgia Ku. This six track EP stands true to Getter’s bass heavy dubstep sound while diving into elements of trap and future house to form an absolute bass masterpiece.

First we have “666!’ featuring Ghastly. Funky percussion and looped samples build into a skretchy synthesized future house banger.

Original “Back”, displays hard hitting 808’s and a head bobbing trap bass line.

Last but not least we have “In The Cuts”. Womps, wobbles, sounds reminiscent to dinosaur growls, and lyrics from Sneek come together to form possibly the hardest track on the entire EP.

Getter, aka Tanner Petulla, is a dj/producer from San Jose, California. It was during his time there in high school that Tanner began producing and was opening at sold-out Bay Area shows before he was even graduated. In 2012, Getter was signed to Datsik’s Firepower Records with the release of his Psycho EP. Since then has had immense success with the slew of EP’s, originals, and remixes he’s released. More recently Getter has displayed a more mellow side of his music with the release of his “Planet Neutral”project, and  producing/engineering for rappers $UICDEBOY$, Fat Nick, and Pouya.
