Crizzly, or Christopher Lee Marshall, has been making all sorts of wild beats to get crazy to since about 2010. In 2012 he began releasing a mixtape series, which included his beloved Crunkstep Vol. 1, 2 and 3. For the past seven years, Crizzly has been churning out some of the most aggressive dubstep for all of us heavy headbangers. Here’s are a few of our favorites to start your weekend right:
Crunk and Wired
If you like 2000’s style hip-hop you will most likely love this song. The beat starts out with a sound very reminiscent to Ludacris or Lil Jon. Maybe even a little bit like the rapper Mims, if you can remember him. Not only will you be feeling an old school vibe, but you’ll also be feeling some neck pain after this banger.
FRL ft. J. Goods and Rumusik
This is, personally, one of my favorite Crizzly tracks. I typically don’t listen to a whole lot of rap music, but this song is an exception. The rap verses fully caught my attention and when the drop hit I was very surprised by a future-bass beat rather than Crizzly’s usual dubstep. This song is different but still keep the hype Crizz always brings.
Drop Dat Ass
This Crizzly banger is definitely one that always gets me on my feet. Crichy Crich has been featured on many artists tracks such as QUIX, Borgore, TinCup, etc. and every time he kills it! This song is no different with a fire beat to start and a drop that’s so good it reminds me of 2012 Skrillex.
Crunkstep Volume 2: Back 2 Da Streets
This is the second of three Crunkstep Mixtapes, released about 4 years ago, and yet still crazy lit. Hip hop and dubstep dominate most of the hour, but there is a little bit of everything. I can definitely say that this mix kept me on my toes. Crizz even through in some Crazy Frog.
Chain Hang Low
Finally, this remix of Chain Hang Low came out 5 years ago and has 5.2M plays on Soundcloud. This original song came out in the early 2000’s and since then Crizzly has revamped it to an absolute Crunkstep banger.
