YetepAfter a successful slew of remix releases over the past few months, Notaker has finally released his long-awaited mystical magnum-opus EP, Genesis. As with all releases under the Notaker name, Genesis is a storytelling musical device. Notaker is joined by artists like Declan James and Karra on this EP, who help him achieve sonic glory.
“Just Close Your Eyes” has a melodic, ambient, and sci-fi-like styling which complements the piano intro. Acting as the only listed collab on the EP, “Who I Am” with Declan James and Karra, brings the party to the floor with a little help from friends. It brings the familiarity of Notaker’s stylings and adapts to the hard-party environment of the more house-driven Declan James. Songs like “Terra” and “So Much Love” tell instrumental stories of reflection and power. Behind the instrumental synths, the production seems geared to score a film instead of being played just anywhere.
Genesis is a treat for those who enjoy cinematic sounds mixed with modern electronic sensibilities. Get the EP here and keep your eyes peeled for more Notaker material!
