Minnesota Launches New Label with the Release of ‘Snake Charmer’

California-born producer, Minnesota, branded himself back in 2014 with stand-out tracks like “Thunderdome” from his Voyager EP and his feature on “Fevers” with Seven Lions and Mimi Page. His style is a unique amalgamation of dubstep and melodic bass, resulting in a feel-good, uplifting dubstep sound. His last EP, Curio, released earlier this year, took it a bit further, showcasing a more experimental style. Minnesota’s career has been taking off lately, and his latest announcement foreshadows exciting things to come.

The DJ just unveiled his new label, Outer Realms, along with the release of an original single, “Snake Charmer.” The single is everything the name would imply. With its eastern-influenced flutes and expertly crafted, spacey synths, the song has the power to transport the listener to an alternate reality. Take a listen below.

The track sets a precedent for what fans can expect from the new label. When discussing which artists he’ll sign, Minnesota said, “(that) when I go on Soundcloud I find so many insane producers that have zero followers. My goal is to bring some limelight to these artists and get them the attention they deserve.”

The unveiling of Outer Realms is a huge milestone in Minnesota’s career, which has already seen the release of six EPs as well as several massive tours. After already making waves lately with his clean productions and experimental sound, Minnesota’s career is about to be jettisoned to new heights.
