Get Down with Nitti Gritti’s ‘4 On The Floor’

Nitti Gritti is at it again with latest EP 4 On The Floor. And you’re going to need a second to listen to these five heavy house tracks to reevaluate everything you know about this Miami-based producer. His versatility has already far exceeded the expectations that the scene demands, but we definitely weren’t ready with this follow-up Confessions label release. A bass-driven house EP is exactly what we needed from the DJ since the release of his summer house anthem “Eyes on You ft. Jimmy Levy.”

From Nitti Gritti’s beginning, we’ve seen him remix songs from big names like NGHTMRE and Krewella, while releasing notable tracks on Tiësto and Diplo’s label, and headlining a world tour. It’s no surprise either as he continues to keep those in the dance music scene on their toes, literally. Delivering everything from trap, future bass, dubstep, and most recently house, this producer is an unstoppable force with an insatiable knack for versatility. What comes next from him may surprise us all, but for now, get down with 4 On The Floor.

The EP starts strong with “My Music” which takes on the classic house vibes of powerful phrases over pulsating drums it’s impossible not to instantly be transported to the dance floor. We are then transitioned gently into “4 On The Floor ft. Shndō,” a song that brings out our inner whore to dance with the bass. The final track, “Out My Way,” taps into melodic trap vibes intermingled with tech-house that speak to Nitti Gritti’s not-so-signature sound. Altogether, this five-track EP is like a mini set as each song blends together, while still offering a unique, shuffle worthy experience.

Whatever project Nitti Gritti produces next, we’ll be ready to immerse ourselves in a sound and style that embodies the wildly creative process of this rapid-rising DJ. You can see Nitti Gritti with Wuki at Talking Stick Resort on August 24th. Grab tickets here.
