YetepAmerica’s number 2 DJ is starting a charity and in a big way!
Steve Aoki‘s Charitable Fund is letting the fans vote on 5 chosen funds to donate a massive sum of money. This year’s charities include Japan’s International Medical Core, Haiti’s Artists for Peace and Justice, Burma’s Health And Hope Society, Uganda’s KIHEFO and Shelterbox USA. Each one provides aid in different parts of the world to people who need it the most.
Aoki will choose a different 5 charities every year, after pouring over mounds of research to select the ones that he believes are very important. Not to mention, Aoki intends to donate up 35,000 of his own money to match, dollar for dollar the amount raised to match the funds collected.
Getting involved is easy and Aoki is giving fans three ways to contribute:
1. You could buy a ticket for Aoki’s birthday bash at The Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles and a dollar from every ticket will go to the fund. Buy a ticket.
2. He’ll also be auctioning off his tour clothes to the highest bidder and putting that money in the fund as well. View the auction list.
3. Lastly, you can just straight up donate to the fund through PayPal.
As Aoki says in his info video, “It all starts with you.”
