YetepWhy are you crying? Stop crying it’ll be ok. No, seriously it’s fine- you didn’t hear? Ultra weekend two is NOT being canceled!
Ultra and Miami City officials came to an agreement last week to heighten up the police presence and Ultra’s private security presence, and let the show go on. Flags were raised weeks prior due to the city’s concern over the large amount of party-goers and a possible increase in drug related incidents.
Ultra did toss a bit of a change over to the city of Miami to help them cover their expenses. According to a Miami Herald Article from January 10, Ultra paid $500,000 to the city of Miami to cover their increased law enforcement costs.
So there–even Ultra wants you to have a good time. Hell, they parted with half a million dollars to make sure you wouldn’t miss it!
