YetepAnd you guys thought that true, 130+ bpm trance was lost and gone forever. Recently released on Armim van Buuren‘s A State Of Trance 2013, Alexander Popov‘s trance anthem lit up my stereo since the album’s release.
“Lost Language” introduces listeners to the collaboration CD with some moody ambiance, like the start of a journey with no turning back. Then comes the chanting of an inspiring monk, leading your forward into the rushing speed of the trance.
The song rolls forward when the Russian DJ introduces the melody, as fast and uplifting as any modern trance song can be. Then, emptiness, backing its way into a heavy moment which forces your eyes closed and a single hand into the air.
Are you ready for a trance drop? Once it hits, your body is throbbing to the music, your heart hammering itself against your chest. In order for music to truly be spiritual, it must make you move and give you shivers. This song accomplishes just that.
Ah, this aggressive song makes me yearn for the upcoming festival season, that moment at the trance stage where a tune both smacks you in the face, but also gives you a hug at the same time. (intense, yet comforting)
Bring on the Spring!
