With Zedd‘s True Colors becoming a Billboard #1 we are basically guaranteed a slew of new remixes of a number of Zedd’s amazing new songs. There have already been numerous remixes of Zedd’s collaboration with Selena Gomez, “I Want You to Know”, including ones from Milo and Otis and Elephante, but we may have just been graced with the remix to top all True Colors remixes. Australian DJ, Dirty South has just released his remix of Zedd’s “Beautiful Now” and it is a progressive masterpiece. Where the original takes on a much more pop-ish sound with a song that relies heavily on its lyrics, chants, and uplifting rhythm, this remix gives the track much more of a club feel. We lose out on a majority of the lyrics, but in their stead we get an amazing melody that is almost reminiscent of Zedd’s original sound, and certainly reminds us that Dirty South has some serious talent. Check out the amazing work by Dirty South here!

Dirty South has been hard at work reclaiming the title of progressive king with his work on his short film/audio project With You, as well as touring some of the biggest festivals in the world including EDC Las Vegas, Coachella, and Ultra Miami. He absolutely killed it at Coachella by the way. With this remix of “Beautiful Now” we are getting the first real Dirty South remix in about 2 years. It’s been a long time, but wow, was his return amazing or what?
In addition to the remix work, “Beautiful Now” is also getting the music video treatment very, very soon. Zedd recently teased the video via social media, and guess what? Zedd can act! The video seems to feature Zedd as a character and we should be very excited to see what kind of chops he really has. Keep an eye out for the full video, but in the meantime, check out this teaser!
